What Is A Blog?

When you ask someone whats a Blog,most people would say directly,hey you can make money with it.! While some would also quote,its a Web Journal.

But really,whats a Blog and how does it work?How do you make one and where do you go to have one?

After brainstorming and digging my brains out.Here’s what I got,a blog is a kind of website where you can write (or blog) anything you like.Actually any subject will do as long as you’re writing something.Either its a helping blog or spam blog.

When you see yourself writing a certain topic online you can consider it as a blog.

When you blog,you’re called a “blogger”,the things or topics you write on your blog are “blog posts” or blog contents.When you update and maintain your blog,you can say you’re “blogging”.

Lets try to put our new discovered terms in a sentence:

Lisa is a good blogger,she never forgets to update her blog posts because blogging is her hobby.

Whew,I never expected making a sentence for those terms is much harder than making this blog.hehe

Anyways,back to topic.Listed below are common types of blog.

1. Personal Blog - a blog where you usually post or write happenings and activities in your life.It could also be a way of updating your relatives away from you. From the word itself its self explanatory.
2. Business Blog – Its a blog that focuses on business,either online or offline.It is sometimes called “niche blog”.If you like to sell something, write a few info on your product and when people visits you site and read your blog there’s a chance people would buy it.Persons who are business minded or oriented often get successful with their business blogs.But before they were successful they also went through a lot of hard stuff. (y’know what I mean)
3. Media Blog – Im talking about the press,whether television or radio as long as it broadcasts events on local or world news.By this type of blogging a lot of people get updates of the current happenings on the other countries.
4. Sports Blog – Blogging about sports and other athletic information.It could contain information on a specific sport subject or in general.

There are actually many types of blog but those above are common than others.

Anyways,if ever you’ll hear the word “splog” it means spam blog.Dudes who like to fool around the web or wants traffic on their sites usually copy other people’s post and put in their blogs.In that case,newbies who does know how things work online could be a victim and sometimes it could be very profitable to the dudes because it could make them some money.

Where to blog and how?

There are quite many websites where you can blog,most often Blogger and Word press are used.These two is the most popular among all and they are known as competition.But really,you can see the difference.

Ways to Fill a Blog

On how to fill a blog there are two possible ways I know. The most common thing is through writing while the other one is through video.And that’s when you call it “vlog”,or video blogging.As of today,vlogging is quite popular.Many bloggers finds video blogging more effective especially to those who are doing business online.
